Established in 2001, the .NAME universal domain extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level domains remained operational.

You will have the chance to change the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized.
